Message from the Mayor

Shalom, and welcome to our website.

I'm sure you will enjoy browsing through it.

The Netanya Foundation serves as the focal point for philanthropic activities in the areas of culture, sports, education, welfare and more in Netanya.

As head of the Foundation for over 12 years, I am proud of the many projects that we have created around the city thanks to our donors who love our city and care for its residents as much as I do.

I am extending my personal invitation to you – let’s form a partnership of giving to the City of Netanya and its residents. The city is facing a challenge of new immigrant absorption from around the world and specifically Ethiopia.

With over 13,000 immigrants of Ethiopian origin living in the city, their effective immersion in the community is an important goal.

This year, we have established a new center for the Ethiopian community with the support of the IFCJ (International Fellowship of Christians and Jews) headed by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein. This is one of the many important projects that the Netanya Foundation has undertaken.

I turn to you, dear guests and visitors to this website – join us! Be our partners on the road to fulfilling our vision of a strong community, focusing on the individual. Help us make this reality.

With your help and involvement we can create a new model for a better society.

The Netanya Foundation is always here for you.

Sincerely Yours,

Miriam Fierberg-Ikar
