Hanukkah Carnival and Opening of Kalaniot Elderly Center

Two amazing colorful Hanukah carnival events took place for about 2,000 Holocaust survivors and their families (children and grandchildren). School children and youth groups in Netanya greeted them, together with the "Shalom Israel: Asia Pacific" volunteers in their national dress, on the red carpet at the entrance to the Netanya Cultural Center.

Between December 3rd and 5th, 2013 The Netanya Foundation hosted 300 volunteers from the "Shalom Israel: Asia Pacific", organization headed by Pastor George Annadorai. At the event were stalls showcasing Oriental culture, recitals and a sing-along. The finale of the end of the event was a festive luncheon for all of the survivors. Miriam Fierberg-Ikar, Mayor of Netanya and Honorary President of the Netanya Foundation, together with Samuel Sabah, Chairman of the Netanya Foundation welcomed the special guests and thanked them for their support.

The "Shalom Israel Singapore” organization, led by Pastor George Annadorai, gave a generous donation to renovate and equip the “Kalaniot” Social Club for Netanya’s Holocaust survivors and elderly.  The opening ceremony took place on December 5th, 2013 and was attended by all the visitors. All the events were broadcast live internationally.
