A New Complex of 4 Classrooms for Autistic Infants in Netanya

Continuing with our efforts for child welfare: The City of Netanya, through the Netanya Foundation, raised a contribution in the amount of 2.7 Million Shekels for building a complex of 4 classrooms for children with autism. These will be therapeutic nurseries for children on the autistic spectrum aged 6 months to 3 years, who need therapeutic daycare including the services of professional and para-medical staff who will provide the children with the ultimate response to their needs.

The donors, Archie Sherman Charitable Trust (London, England) and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation (Baltimore, USA) decided to donate the joint amount of 2.7 Million Shekels to complete a grant from Bituach Leumi (2.5 Million Shekels) to establish the Nursery complex.

ALUT (National Association for Autistic Children) will operate the complex which will join the existing Therapeutic Day Care Center – the Alutaf – which opened about one month ago on Jasmin St. in Ramat Poleg and an additional nursery on Elnekave St. The Nursery Complex will be established on Hativat Harel St. and the work will commence in the near future. We expect to open the new Complex in December 2016.
