Dolphins Project in Netanya
Thanks to the initiative of Mr. Robert Benrimon, together with the creative assistance of Israeli artist Chen Winkler and in collaboration with the Netanya Foundation, 25 dolphin statues exclusively designed by Netanya's high school art students, will be placed throughout the city of Netanya, Israel, in the near future. The project is well underway and has received the blessing of the Mayor of Netanya, Mrs. Miriam Fierberg-Ikar, who is also Honorary President of the Netanya Foundation.
The Netanya Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit in the US
Figurines measuring 60 cm high (23.6 inches) of the dolphin statues were distributed amongst art students in several high schools throughout Netanya. The dolphin figurines were uniquely designed in various styles by the high school students and were then presented to the public at an exhibition, where local businesses got to choose their favorite dolphin, while pledging a donation to the Netanya Foundation for the benefit of Netanya's children.

At an exciting week-long Happening, the art students painted 25 dolphin statues standing 2.5 meters (8 feet 2 inches) high, at the end of which a ceremony took place, together with the Mayor of Netanya, the donor and the proud business owners who donated to this wonderful project. All 24 dolphins were adopted by local businesses, while one dolphin will be sent to the donor abroad.
